Finding Harbor Solo Show

Whoa... I just made my biggest show ever. 57 paintings total! And all based of my favorite Lowcountry places to linger... the Harbor, Folly Beach, Sullivans Island, Sunrise Park on James Island, The Battery, Shem Creek, Morris Island Lighthouse, and Kiawah Island. Finding Harbor opened Friday, Oct 23, 2015 at City Gallery at Waterfront. Coastal Community Foundation knows how to throw a great party - they hosted the reception and we had a great turn out.

How did this all come about? Back in May, I was selected as the 2015 Griffith-Reyburn Lowcountry Artist of the Year. The donors - Mike Griffith and Donna Reyburn - also good Pennsylvania people like my whole family - dreamed up this prize with the help of the Coastal Community Foundation. Each year they select 1 local artist, living and working in the Charleston area, who's art captures the look and feel of the Lowcountry. The winner gets a show and $5,000 prize.

Some of my paintings were diptychs and triptychs - grouped together to make panoramic scenes.

The front entrance of City Gallery at Waterfront Park, Downtown Charleston South Carolina. Or you can enter from the park at the Pineapple Fountain. Such an amazing space and a real treat to show my work there... Views of the Charleston Harbor inside and out.
