Oyster Ornament - Spartina Sisters

This oyster shell is decoupaged with a printed image of my original painting "Spartina Sisters". In the image - two small sailboats are tacking near the harbor in Charleston. Linen fringe and threads create a layer of spartina grasses near the shoreline. 

Each shell is unique and approximately 3.5 inches high x 2.5 inches wide.

Painted gold on the back, and adorned with a gold cord and blue and white striped seersucker ribbon. Hand-signed on the front.

Packaged individually in a cotton gift bag.

Collaboration with Shell Maps by Donna Olah (my Mom!) We've collected oyster shells all year for this year's Holiday Release.  We recycle imperfect oysters to create reefs for future oysters to thrive in the Charleston Lowcountry. Read more about it here.
